Corniche

One of the most beautiful area of Abu Dhabi is the Corniche, its about 10 km long, and it divided into pedestrian walk and an area for cycling, in addition to lot of resting stations (with vending machines).
Today we (my Mother, Father, Wife, Sister and I) had a great WALK , we walked for about 40 minutes (we had rest for 10 minutes in between :) ). The weather was fabulous. We “planned” to do it more frequent.
I wished to have my camera with me to post a picture. Hopefully I will update this post with a picture in the coming few days, or you know what, I will Google one and post it right now :)

Failure

Its disappointing, the ammarjassani.com did not work, don't ask why, because I don't know. My IT friends gave different opinions but guess what...................crap :(.

I lost my $ 10 which I spent to buy the name, and I decided to go back to the blogspot.com and live with it.

The Dubai Mall

Yesterday we visited The Dubai Mall, it's really huge. It was opened 4 days ago and about 60% of the shops are still closed, despite that and knowing the fact the we spent about 8 hours there we did not see the whole mall.

The most interesting part of the mall is the aquarium and discovery center. Other nice parts are the Ice rink and the Gold Souq (picture posted).

Our next visit should be more fun, we are planing to do it after about few months.

Working in shifts has few advantages and lot of disadvantages.

New Org. Structure

Daman has announced new organizational structure, line of reporting has been changed, new positions has been published and new people got promoted.

In my opinion this is good, it opens more opportunity for everybody to grow.

My direct manager (Dr. Naim) got more responsibilities with the same position, I think he will be promoted in the future. both Daman and Thiqa back offices has been merged. The front offices remain the same.

We may change floor in the same building. Thiqa people seem not to be happy.

the effective date of the new structure will be 15 Nov. 2008.
